We Are Creation and the Creator: Unraveling "the Hounds of the Barrier"

There’s a moment on every spiritual journey when the lines blur—when you suddenly realize that creation isn’t something that happened “back then,” nor is the Creator some distant force outside of you. At some point, something clicks, and you see that you are both the Creation and the Creator, simultaneously discovering and designing the path you walk.
One of the most powerful lessons I’ve uncovered is that nothing is coincidence. What we call coincidence is simply creation in motion—an echo of something we, or someone connected to us, placed along the path long before we consciously arrived at it. When you live with this awareness, life becomes a trail of messages, signposts, and confirmations that guide you toward truth.
Let me share one experience that brought this home with profound clarity.
The Hounds of the Barrier and a Message Meant for Me
When I first dove deep into The Emerald Tablets of Thoth, one phrase stood out among the rest: “the Hounds of the Barrier.” [KV 8:21] These hounds, described as energetic guardians preventing souls from escaping the matrix, resemble what many traditions call archons—a force that keeps consciousness trapped in cycles of unawareness.
Determined to understand more, I searched the phrase online. What happened next didn’t feel random—far from it. The very first relevant search result was a YouTube video titled “Hounds of the Barrier.” But it wasn’t the title that stunned me. It was the composer:
Daniel Ketchum.

That name hit me like lightning.
Here I was at Ketchum House—on a path guided by intuition, synchronicity, and fire—and suddenly the name “Ketchum” appeared right where I least expected it. It wasn’t subtle. It was a message.
At that moment, it felt like validation not just of the Emerald Tablets, which many have criticized and scrutinized over the years, but of the path itself. As if the universe was whispering: Keep going. You’re seeing clearly.
So I reached out to Daniel.
Daniel’s Answer—And the Unplanned Perfection of Creation
When I asked Daniel about the inspiration behind the piece, he shared this:
“I don't remember the exact date it was composed but it probably took me a few months to write, the album was released on September 22, 2016. Many of my songs on my Resonance of Echoes album were inspired by the Emerald Tablets—Poetic Divination, Beyond the Void, Resonance of Echoes, Ash and Hounds of the Barrier. And yes, his writings are quite actionable. I did his meditation for progressing your soul (the one that called on the 7 lords… or was it 9? I don't remember lol).”
Then more synchronicities came to light:
The song was 5:42 long.
It was uploaded on April 19, and depending on the timezone, it could have been April 20 (4/20)—my birthday or 42.
It carried the name Ketchum.
And it appeared at the exact moment I needed it.
This wasn’t coincidence.
This was creation meeting creation.
This was a message planted in 2016, uploaded in 2024, and discovered by me in perfect timing—a creation that became part of my unfolding journey though Daniel had no idea it ever would.
We Create for the Ones Who Will Find Us Later
What I realized is this:
Daniel created a song nine years ago.
He uploaded it one year ago.
And in 2025, that creation became a key signpost in my awakening.
This is how creation works.
This is how we work.
We don’t just create art, music, writing, ideas—we create paths.
We create clues.
We create bridges for others to cross when the time is right.
And we do this often without knowing who will one day find our work, or how deeply it will impact them.
We are the created ones, yes.
But we are also the creators—continuously shaping the journey for others, just as others shape it for us.

When we allow the divine flow to move through us, when we stop hesitating and simply create, we take our rightful role in the symphony of consciousness. Every creation becomes part of the map. Every action becomes a beacon.
Just as Daniel unknowingly played a part in my discovery, we all have the opportunity to leave keys along the path—keys that may unlock someone else’s remembrance.
So the message is simple:
Create.
Let the divine flow.
Trust the synchronicities.
And know that nothing is random.
Because you are not only walking the path—
you are building it.
Thank you, Daniel Ketchum, for your part in this unfolding story.
Bill
